Acupuncture?

 Health:

It looks to me that the more we use acupuncture the better our health and the lower the medical costs for the individual. Of course just like in our use of our principle health system we must use our knowledge and good sense. It sure seems that acupuncture leads to healthier healthcare. For example, it is a safer, more effective and most often a less expensive way to handle pain than are drugs.

Learn More:
We can learn more about acupuncture. We can benefit by doing so. Helping one another to learn about it can make the learning easier and probably more effective. There are plenty of us. Let's do it together. The more the merrier

Using Acupuncture

In the U.S. there is little co-operation for the use of acupuncture and much resistance from a few and professionals. The French, Russians, Chinese, and others have experienced the use of acupuncture from time to time. However, they are all. Now they are all benefiting from its use. So are many other Asians and Europeans. For a time the communist autocracy of China resisted the use of acupuncture. One reason for their resistance was that the the training of an acupuncturist took longer than that of a typical physician.  Now, in modern China, western style doctors and traditional Chinese doctors, including those practicing acupuncture, are co-operating so that the Chinese people are getting better healthcare at more affordable prices.

Safety

In the U.S., about 20% of the costs to an individual for a significant number of procedures go to the anesthesiologist for his work and the use of his lifesaving equipment. As we learn more About acupuncture, the safety of acupuncture, the way it shortens hospital stays, and its chances for lowering insurance rates, the more interesting it gets.

Stops Pain

Acupuncture simply stops the pain of surgery in ways much safer than are the ways common among us. That is it provides more effective pain control, with more safety at less cost. Interest is sustained as we look into the effective ways it can supplement our present healthcare by successfully treating and healing in situations in which our present system is less successful.

You Can

You can start learning about acupuncture and its uses in your country.
You can talk with a doctor about it. You can do some careful research online. You can ask me to write more about it. There are books about acupuncture which you can find. You can talk with family and friends about that which they have heard or experienced. Could you find a well trained expert. You might find an organization interested in it and learn more about them. Sharing information can be powerful. Tell us, in the "comments" section below, of that which you have find.

                    Thankyou again for reading.

We Can Adapt (What If we don't?)

We are responsible for us. We can decide to adapt to the present rapid climate changes or not. It is up to us. It seems to me a very good idea to decide to co-operate to adapt together. It seems a good opportunity to learn to do democracy,

Got to Thinking About Chemistry

RCS Posts "science:" Chemicals have effects on us: good, bad, and all in between, depending upon our knowledge and our actions.

I know that for many chemistry is not the greatest topic and on top of that all my memories are not great. However we do know that there is a lot of chemistry in our lives and we are usually aware that their effects on us are bad and good and, a lot in between.

As I thought of chemistry I remembered how I had mixed "Ingredients" in lots of little bottles I had collected when not much more than a toddler.

Next I thought about my '"experiments" with alcohol when I was about eight.

After that I remembered a rather nice chemistry set my parents got for me when I as about eleven.  My younger brothers got deeply into it before I had explored it much. My little brothers ate much of their "experiments." At the time I might have had some hope that those experiments of their might lead to really terrible stomachaches

Then came to mind a time that I was looking for a classroom in a high-school new to me. In the course of this process I walked into a classroom and saw on the wall a abundantly daunting chart. Next I saw a teacher sitting at a desk and asked him about the chart. He told me it was the periodic tables. I asked, "Of what?"  He said "Chemical elements.  I thanked him and as I walked out I thought, "No chemistry for me." I had forgotten to ask about my class.

But...chemistry effects all of us and we do have some responsibility for our own well-being.

As I glanced through an article on, I guess, the ecology of chemistry, I began to think "toxic," "toxic chemicals." Sorry.

Then the questions began to come:

~ How can I find out about the toxicity of the chemicals in my life? Our lives?
~ Who can help us get the fact straight?
~ What are the chemicals in my life?
~ Who will help us to find out how toxic a given chemical is?
~ Who wants to confuse us about the facts?
~ What do we want? need? expect? deserve?
~ What symptoms are there? Would on need an antidote?
~ How can we get what we want?
~ How can we find out how a chemical concoction is best used? Is there an effective and less toxic substitute.
~ Is there a chemical which is never toxic?
~ How are we as a people determining sound environmental practices?

Sometimes when the questions start they just just keep coming.

I believe that some of the answers are likely to be very important to us. Very important to the US.

It is OK to reread the questions above.

My ignorance of chemicals, chemistry, and governance effects chemicals not at all. It does effect me and may effect you. I am willing to be willing to learn and to co-operate.

All of your  comments are important to me. Constructive ones are supper important.Any comment is great. Comments please. Even comments about my spelling are wonderful.A comment about content is very, very good. If they are negative they are great. I am not a fast learner, but even a negative comment can be a great learning aid.

"We" Is An Activity

RCS Posts community and "we" maintenance including: communication, unity, common interests

A kind of meditation:

We can agree that "we" is a relationship, can't we? When we agree to relate it may be good to speak of the level at which we wish to relate. At what level might it be good for us to relate? We could speak of the reason for our relationship. How might we go about relating ? Might it be important that we show our concern for our "we?"

What's in it for you? What's your interest? How is a mutual or reciprocal relationship handled?

A "we" must consist of people, persons, individuals, right? Have you seen
the start of a "we?" Was there a kind of joining? Doesn't a "we" require some kind of maintenance?

What do you suspect, believe, or know about the "we" in the "We the people..." document?

That "we" could refer to us. How do we go about keeping track of our common interests? How do we reciprocate? "We the people" are a social relationship, aren't they?

Let's say that we are the people in the "We the people" we know about.
What is the nature of our relationship? What is reason for our relationship? What's in it for you?

"We" implies a unity, a union. We can probably agree that better and worse unions can be detected. How might we form a more perfect union?

You may have some notions of "we" stirring in your mind now.

Communication is important. Talk, dialogue, discussion are important. Talk of "us" and "we"  may be so important as to be called vitally important.

I say that communication of persons is vitally important for the initiation and maintenance of a "we".

To have a good nation we have to have a good "we".

Some find a sentence or two above worth contemplation.
